About Makers Ark

Hello and welcome to what started as a search for my own expanded workspace! I am Susanne Schultz, maker and owner of Makers Ark. After working for others during my career, my handmade business has given me opportunity to work for myself since January 1, 2021.

Although I did exceptionally well with online sales, in 2023 I switched to working as a wholesale maker. I also work with artisans across the United States as a production partner, to fulfill their sales, but my favorite time spent is collaborating with artisans locally.

It wasn't until I saw this store at 117 Lewis Street that I considered more than my own workspace. The number 117 stayed in my mind as I considered my path... 117, 117 what is 117?... and then I found it in Hebrews 11:7 when God told Noah to build his ark.
